What is a Digital e-Signature

Our Digital e-Signature is the fast, reliable way to electronically sign documents and agreements on practically any device from almost anywhere in the world! This is done safely due to the built-in security features and the processes that e-signatures provide. Its main purpose is to provide a way for you to complete forms and sign important documents, such as loan agreements in a quick and productive manner without ever having to come into the office. Essentially, members can now sign for and collect a loan without ever having to come into our offices.

How do I use this service?

Step 1 – Apply for a loan online via Member’s Area.

Step 2 – When your application details have been received, a Lending Officer will contact you to discuss the application.

Step 3 – If your loan is approved, the loan credit agreement documents are uploaded by the Credit Union to your secure Member area for digital e-signature and automatic return.

Step 4 – You will receive a push notification on the app to review and sign documents uploaded to the “documents to be signed” area.

Step 5 – Simply, Login to CUOnline either via our website or our mobile app. Select Documents, review Document(s) to Sign for the relevant document and click “Sign Document”.

Step 6 – Read through your credit agreement to make sure you are happy with the details. There are two ways to sign your credit agreement. If you do not have biometrics set up, you will be asked to request a OTP (One Time Passcode).

  • If you use OTP, then generate a one-time passcode to digitally sign the credit agreement. Check your mobile phone for your OTP. Input this code on CUOnine and click “Submit”, then click “Sign Document”.
  • If you do have biometrics (fingerprint or face recognition) set up on your app. You will be asked to confirm you want to sign the document, then you must confirm your biometrics.
  • You will receive confirmation that the document has been signed.

Step 7 – On receipt and review of the signed Credit Agreement, Loan funds will be directed to your account of choice. Please note this will reach your bank account at the end of the next banking day. If you have any problems then call us on 074 91 02126.

Note: Loan documentations are retained in your Members Area (Of mobile app or website) for reference.

All loan applications utilising our Digital e-Signature are subject to same terms & conditions as hard copy applications.

To be eligible to use the Digital e-Signature facility:

  • You must be registered for online banking with Letterkenny Credit Union.
  • The loan application must be on a single account.
  • A guarantor must not be required for loan approval.

Register for CU Online+ below. You will need your Letterkenny CU account number, personal email address, date of birth & mobile phone number to register. Or you can download the Letterkenny CU App today and register there.

Please note: if you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which may limit your ability to access credit in the future.
